sounds as sources of intelligence

Automated real-time recognition of sounds is a powerful means to inform rangers of potential illegal activities in large nature reserves.

Currently we are field-testing the 3rd prototype in the city of Amsterdam, where it is being used to identify sources of noise pollution in real-time.

We open-sourced SERVAL under the name OpenEars. If you are interested in using this it, or want to be involved in its development, don’t hesitate to contact us.
